The Fine Print

Dragon boating is a water sport, and there are a few things you need to be aware of:

  • You should be able to swim 50 metres unaided in the clothes you will be wearing in the dragon boat OR you must wear a personal flotation device (PFD) at all times when in the dragon boat. PFDs are supplied by DBACT at no charge.

  • You have to be willing to take instructions in paddling and water safety and you must abide by Dragon Boat ACT safety rules.

  • There is a risk of injury when participating in the sport of dragon boating, but you have to be willing to accept this and participate completely at your own risk.

  • All members should read and understand the safety requirements in the Australian Dragon Boat Federation Safety Manual.

All members are governed by a Code of Conduct.

Replacement membership cards are $25.00 each. Please email the Membership Officer to organise: membership@dbact.com.au.
