The two old bitument courts are set to get a facelift from next Monday 5th December. They will be transformed into synthetic grass and with new fencing, will provide the perfect setting for tennis. Weather permitting, they will be ready for play by Christmas.

The four new courts with the best lighting in South-East Qld (according to Tennis Queensland officials) are now available for hire. Get the key from Craignish Foodworks. Daytime costs are $5 ph for members and $10 ph for non-members. Nighttime costs $10 ph for members and $20 ph for non-members. So why not become a member? Memberships are now available for 2012 from this site.

Social tennis for all ages and abilities is now available on Monday nights from 7pm. Cost is $6 per person. See you on the courts.

Thank you to all members who attended the AGM last Tuesday night. Our new committe is listed on this site. We welcome Clint and Sharon Wagstaff as new committee members, and thank Dave Dorey for all his hard work and commitment over the past 3 years.

Finally, the lights went on to our 4 new courts last Monday night 7th November. Social tennis is now available on Monday nights from 7pm, so bring your racquet and $6 and join the fun.

We are having a sausage sizzle at Officeworks on Saturday 3rd September and are looking for volunteers to fill the following times:

10.30 - 12.30 (two people); 12.30 - 2.30 (one person). Come and support your club and have some fun!

Congratulations to Andy Gaze and Iain Everiss who have joined the dynamic team at FCTA. Their experience in local government and civil engineering will bring added dimensions to our club. Thank you Andy and Iain for your enthusiasm and commitment to creating a family friendly tennis centre at Dundowran.

OK, after reading the two previous posts, you will know where this is going! The FCTA has two committee positions vacant and are looking for enthusiastic members to fill the void.
