CODE OF CONDUCT OF ASSOCIATION CITY DRAGONS INCORPORATED (CDI)
As a member of CDI you must meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct during any activity held or sanctioned by CDI, Dragon Boats NSW, or the Australian Dragon Boat Federation:
1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others.
2. Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealing with others.
3. Be professional in, and accept responsibility for, your actions.
4. Make a commitment to providing quality service.
5. Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to, City Dragons Inc’s constitution, standards, rules, regulations and policies.
6. Operate within the rules of the sport including, state, national and international guidelines which govern Dragon Boating.
7. Do not use your involvement with CDI, Dragon Boats NSW, or the Australian Dragon Boat Federation to promote your own beliefs, behaviours or practices where these are inconsistent with those CDI, Dragon Boats NSW, or the Australian Dragon Boat Federation.
8. Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with persons under 18 years of age, as your words and actions are an example.
9. Avoid unaccompanied and unobserved activities with persons under 18 years of age, wherever possible.
10. Refrain from any form of harassment of others.
11. Refrain from any behaviour that may bring CDI, Dragon Boats NSW, or the Australian Dragon Boat Federation into disrepute.
12. Provide a safe environment for the conduct of the activity.
13. Show concern and caution towards others who may be sick or injured.
14. Be a positive role model.
15. Understand the repercussions if you breach, or are aware of any breaches of, this code of behaviour.
In addition to this Code of Conduct, CDI, Dragon Boats NSW, or the Australian Dragon Boat Federation may have role specific Code of Conduct policies in place which are amended by from time to time. As a member, you will be required to comply with any Cody of Conduct policy applicable to your role.
acknowledge and agree as follows:-
1. That participating in the sporting activities of and associated with City Dragons Inc (CDI) and dragon boating (the Sporting Activities) are inherently dangerous; that I am exposed to certain risks; that accidents can and often do happen which may result in me being injured or even killed, or that my property may be damaged; that I have voluntarily read and understood this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in participating in the Sporting Activities.
2. That I am a consumer of recreational services, as defined by any relevant law, certain terms and rights usually implied into a contract for the supply of goods or services may be excluded, that these implied terms and rights and any liability of CDI flowing from them, are expressly excluded to the extent possible by law, by this signing this declaration. To the extent of any liability arising, the liability of CDI will, in its discretion, be limited in the case of goods, to the replacement, repair or payment of the cost of replacing the goods and in the case of services, the resupply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
3. That in consideration of CDI allowing me to make application for membership and/or participating in the Sporting Activities, I, to the extent permitted by law:(a) release and will release CDI from all claims whatsoever that I may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with my application for membership or participation in the Sporting Activity and (b) indemnify and will keep indemnified CDI in respect of any claim whatsoever by any person arising as a result of or in connection with my membership and/or participation in the Sporting Activities.
4. I can swim more than 50 metres clothed (if not I will wear a life jacket at all times).
